unit 10 project PPL case study

Hi,
I have recently received my case study. I have read through it and was thinking of doing my project on accountancy staff time management and training. But i was thinking that a lot of the problems seem to be with things that the HRM director should generally take control of such as personnel databases. Would this be a viable topic to do my project on or am i completly off track??
I dont know if this topic is too wide though but i was thinking of payroll but i thought that this topic would be too narrow.
Has anyone read the case study?

hi there
I did it last year. there are a lot of problems and a lot to cover.
this is what i did.
i picked all the problems i could find, related them to the pc's as problems and then stated solutions.
I covered quite a few to cover all pc's. This worked for me. the other way would be to choose a couple of problems and maybe expand.
i covered, dealines, cover for staff and work, appraisals or lack of them, incentives, greviance procedures, lack of systems in place(people and computer), i can't remember it was a while ago but i hope it helps.
i used all the staff and depts as this bumped up the wordcount.0 -

Yeah i was thinking of doing something along these lines but I wasnt sure if you could only cover 1 subject (eg. staff training) or you could cover more than 1. Also the rest of my class doing the case study seem to be doing it on payroll so i feel a bit apprehensive that i am the only 1 to do something different.

don't worry, I created a cash flow system, and created a spreadsheet for that and another for currency exchange for our purchases. the hardest thing is covering all the criteria. check your ideas with your tutor before you start, and keep checking as you complete your first rough draft until you finish.
i didn't and created more work than I needed to!
try to complete your work early on the project as revision at the end comes with a rush.
