Intermediate Level - is there a scale of what you should be getting per annum?

Hi All

I am not sure where I should look for this information. I have full Foundation and Intermediate levels under my belt (1 year experience in accounts)and have started Technician level now. What wages should someone expect or look for at my level and I believe it differs from regions too. I'm from North East...

    There is a salary checker on Hays Accountancy and also on Reed Accountancy.

    Hi Eve,

    For passing the intermediate stage and starting the technician level, I got a salary increase to £21,000 per annum. However, I also have additional responsibilities for managing our health and safety policies, maintaining our hardware and software IT systems plus many core personnel duties. I also live in the South East where wages are often higher than elsewhere but everything costs more too! :cry::cry::cry:

    At the moment, I am even covering reception as our normal receptionist has very inconsiderately gone on holiday for a fortnight! :evil:

    Missing my office; eight more long long days to go...

    had a quick look at the Hays , but I was a bit lost, where do I look for this sallary checker? I looked under few things but never ofund it :(

    Hi,

    The salary checker may gives you an indication of what u r capable to do, but I would rather go and search for a suitable job which i can do it and then gives me a chance to learn more a long with my studies. I have started working as assistant bookkeeper after ive finished Level2 earning £0 ph for 3 months cos one of has colleages turned down that job, then a £6 ph till i have finished level3 and started earning £7ph, then i have finished Tech in June 06 and gained the most waited (MAAT) and now getting £8 and working as financial contorller (the whole acoounts dep functions)+ half of tuition fees for ACCA which i have started last week. My colleage who has refused that zero paid job still struggling to get 1yr exp to gain MAAT. This is purelly my exp- and my opnion. good luck
