Bank Managers - grrrrr

I have had a very elderly (93) client on the phone, saying that her bank manager had been to visit her yesterday, and told her "at her age, she didn't need to fill in a tax return" :shock:

I tried (very politely) to explain that the bank manager didnt know what he was talking about, but because he is a bank manager he must be right, and I must be wrong :evil:

Actually - Twas HMRC not me that decided that she needed to complete a return - grrrrrrrrr.

Sorry rant over - back to work now :lol:

    Dean - haven't we been down this route before :? after someone's (probably mine) bad day with the beloved Revenue - who I have to say are in my better books at the moment :D

    Ah now today clients are in my good books. Got an old boy to sign his tax return - he gave me a bottle of red wine, and wife turned round and said that I might prefer white, so to give me a bottle of each!!!

    Those are the type of clients that I really like - oh and their son has just gone s/e, so going to give him my card :D

    Clients were on my hit list today too :twisted:
    Especially those who didn't receive vat returns for the last 2 quarters, don't tell HMRC, wonder why they get a surcharge notice and then expect me to sort it out when they get issued with a warrant for non payment of that:evil:

    New clients who needs em!!

    Definately didn't receive them.

    However now on they way to sorting the mess out.
