I'm trying to do the exercise on p 253 of the current Unit 5 intermediate book but I'm totally stuck.
1. the ETB is dated 30 April 20x8 but the question all relates to Oct 06 - am I assuming the ETB template is wrong?
2. b) a bank loan was taken out on 31st January 2006 for £50k. Interest is charged at 10% per annum, but the answers have worked this out at £600 and I have NO CLUE how they got it :?
3. e) the question states that closing stock at 31st Oct 2006 was valued at £289,400 cost price. there are a couple of adjustments which mean NRV is lower than cost, but they are only a few thousand pounds, yet the answers have the stock value in the ETB as 43,690 ???
Hmmn - just realised that there are two examples one after the other (10.6 & 10.7), and two pages of answers one after the other (p383 & p386) - is it coincidence that the answers I've got to parts of 10.6 appear in the 10.7 answers page? does anyone know of an error in the book?

:oops: ok - I'm an idiot - I've got confused with which question I'm answering.
Why don't they put the templates opposite the question rather than on the back of the same page?
How embarressed am I?!
