Anyone know a good approach to learning about shares and residencies for personal tax exam?

    Do them over and over again. :) They will sink in... honest :)

    those are the main two things i am worried about. The only other thing is the rule on chattels which just doesnt seem to sink in!

    Yeah I find it interesting, and I like learning about tax, I just worry it wont sink in in time!! I tend to lean more towards management accounts side, as that is what I would like to pursue in the future, but tax is ok yes.
    Just tax and PCR at xmas, then thats it hopefully!!
    Are you at tech level?

    I am now qualified (MAAT) and i've just started the ATT.

    You are pretty much guaranteed to get a share question in the exam, and then probably either PPR or chattels but unlikely to get both.

    Make shares your No 1 priority - and like Dean said - practice, practice and practice - doesn't matter if it is the same questions over and over again - after half a dozen or so, you have forgotten the first one :wink:

    Ummmmmm - actually got round to asking for another application form - must have filed the original one somewhere really safe :wink: and they havent sent it to me - maybe they have the same filing system as me!

    Another thing to put on my to do list :roll:

    You can download an application form from their website.

    I ended up doing this, I got fed up with waiting.
