Who to go with....

Hello everyone!

I'm coming to the end of the Foundation Level NVQ which I have done as Home Study with my local college. Unfortunately I am not able to carry on with the college to do the next stage. I am going to do the Advanced Certificate instead of the NVQ as I don't work in an accounts office and have found it difficult to get the evidence needed to finish the portfolio.

I've got the information from FTC Kaplan and BPP regarding the home study courses that they provide. The problem is, how do I choose the two? What are the differences between them? Can anybody make any recommendations?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Jo

    Hi Jo.

In my experience FTC are better than BPP, but there are also others such as Premier Training.

    Hi Jo

FTC home study packs are really good and the support is excellent.
I have been on BPP's revision courses and found them to be very good as well, although can't comment on their home study packages.

I too have heard Premier Training are good and also offer good study support.

I have been using BPP's home study for Payroll Level 2 and they are terrible - they take ages to get their marking back ... if ever. I am going to try Premier Training next time.

Thanks for your advice. I think I'll take a look at Premier Training, they seem a popular choice!

    Hi,

I have done foundation and currently doing intermediate with the distance learning option with FTC and I must admit they are good. Simulations and Skill Tests are marked pretty quickly and whenever I send an email they are usually answered within 2 days... so my experience is positive but I know of people who had to wait ages to get their pocket notes...

It is difficult to choose the best provider...

    Good luck! :)
