Re:Exams
Hiya
Depends:
If you are on the NVQ route - PLB
If you are on Diploma route - IAC
There are also simulation exams in between

Thank you
Is the NVQ better to have than the diploma?0 -
Re:Exams
Hi
Both are the same qualification at the end of the day. The NVQ is designed for people already working in the finance environment as it requires you to provide a portfolio of evidence that you can perform things within the work place.
The diploma route eliminates this.
I am on Intermediate - I did NVQ at Foundation and now on the diploma route. There really is no difference apart from I do not need to provide evidence from work and I have a few more modules to do!

Re:Exams
ok brilliant thank you. I checked it out on the ACCA and could not see that you can get onto the ACCA using the diploma, but cant see why not. I will find it hrd to build a portfolio of evidence as my manager is qualified through experience

Ema
My line manager was qualified by experience - it makes no difference to the portfolio being built for AAT. Although they prefer qualified accountants QBE is okay to sign off portfolios and work experience.
