Becoming a full member

Hello,
I have a friend who would like to become a full member, but is worried about the bit of the form that asks about your financial history.
He entered into a formal agreement with his creditors (IVA) and is worried that he will not be allowed to join.
Has anyone else heard of anyone being denied membership for this?
Thanks.

Re:Becoming a full member
Hello Angelic,
I would like to ask the same thing to anyone, as in the early years of marriage I got into some trouble and I would hate to think my history has just wiped out the best part of ten years of expierience and the years studying with the AAT.
That would mean I'm stuck in this job forever!
Please does anybody no anything to Angelics question?0 -
Re:Becoming a full member
Don't know about AAT but I think you get booted out of ACCA if you go bankrupt. Not sure though.0 -
Re:Becoming a full member
Bankruptcy and IVA are not quite the same though - there is a clause in Bankruptcy which prohibits you from holding certain offices, but this is not the case with IVA.

Drop the AAT an email asking them.

I found it is all the details about bankruptcy/creditor arrangements etc and membership are in the document (PDF) at the bottom of this page:
