Job Advice..

Hi,

I have a Diploma in book-keeping, Certificate in Accounting I have passed my FRA exam at Intermediate Level which I am hopefully due to finish by the end of the year.The problem I have is that I have no work experience in accounting and have applied to many jobs with no joy, can anyone suggest a different approach as I'm getting pretty disheartened at the moment.

    The best way is to get some temp jobs. They'll probably be pretty basic at the start but it'll give you some experience. I had no experience at all and I got a 3 month temp job just doing basic purchase ledger stuff and I then went straight onto a permanent accounts assistant role.
    Try Hays, Reed, Accountancy Additions, Select. And the more the merrier, even if they tell you not to sign up with too many you should do. Plus they can be sneaky buggers.
