Hi,
Does anyone know what to revise for the written questions in the exams please? I expect most people will say everything but I have noticed alot of the past papers ask for budgets and sampling. Anything else worth learning?
Last year my teacher gave me a rough idea of what is in the exam but my teacher this year is not so kind!!
Its very stressful at the moment
Thanks for reading this and hope you can help

Re:Written answers
Hi Cat.
Right, I am sitting PCR. As far as my revision goes, I will be revising, for the written element,
-Budgeting uses and contraints
-Explanation of a flexed budget
-Explanation of marginal cost budget
-Explanation of absorbtion cost budget
-Differences between how budgets can be produced (top down or bottom up)
-The effects a budget can have on the motivation of staff
Hope that helps a bit. Feel free to pm me if you are stuck on a particular part.

Re:Written answers
Thank you Paul, I was also worried about what could come up on the paper in the written element and was panicing because I knew I could not learn EVERYTHING!!!! Thought I had cracked variances but now I can't remember a thing!
Do you think Activity based costing will come up?
Oh well, back to the books!0 -
Re:Written answers
Im am not sitting PEV this time round.
However, you should remember that anything within the syllabus can be tested. There are detailed guidance noted to all of the units on this site.
I would suggest reading through them and working on any bits you are still unsure about.

Can you tell me where to access the guidance notes for PEV and PCR?

erm... I managed 5 days, and then it got too much!
As I say the examples for revision I have given, may not be the full requirements, so read around as much as you can
