Tax Returns - FBI

Having just read the small print on the top of the FBI copy of the tax return, it recommends that the client keeps a hard copy of what is submitted.
I have never bothered to let a client keep a copy - I keep the signed copy as proof of signing -
Do other people post a hard copy to their clients after submission?
In trying to save the planet, trees etc, and the fact that clients don't want a copy anyhow it seems silly, but if it is good practice, then I will do it!

Re:Tax Returns - FBI
I think it is just that Claudia... just a recommendation.
I never send hard copies to my clients. If they won't a copy I can produce one from the software at any time.
If I was to send a copy they'd only panic that they haven't done something... so it avoids a phone call to!

Dean - thanks for that - suddenly wondered if it was just me that didn't do it
Most of my lot would probably then post it as well

I don't send a hard copy to clients either, for the same reasons as you Claudia.

I usually email a pdf. I would be very surprised if any clients actually printed it out for their records though.0 -
Re:Tax Returns - FBI
Don't think very many of my clients would know an email let alone a .pdf file if it jumped out of cyberspace and hit them on the head
