Hi there.

I was wondering if there are any people that have been to the BPP or FTC colleges for the AAT? to do fast track?

If you have been, were you also working at the time?

I would like to know how you found it?

I'm currently on FTC, since BPP has mainly dis-banded i've been recommended not to use them... they not quite on the ball.

i'm on a client course with FTC and it's pretty good.

I don't know where you get your information from - BPP are alive and well and doing courses in each centre.

I studied AAT at college but have been taking ACCA with BPP and they are fantastic - can't fault them!

Have a look at both (I think they are as good as each other) depending on where you live (as FTC didn't offer ACCA in my area until recently).

P.S. I believe the bad press has come from the distance learning - I have never heard anyone question the courses - only recommend them.

I study will BPP in London and although they did seem to go through a rough patch, recently I have seem the most amazing improvement. I am now getting skills tests and mock exams back within two weeks of submission. The teaching, although it was good before, is even better. I was at one point considering moving to FTC but BPP have improved so much I will pay.

I do the home study course with BPP,AAT Intermediate, as I work 5 days per week.

The books are very easy to follow and clearly explained. Next week I will be sitting my FRA and ECR exams and feel quietly confident I will scrape through, though I might be eating my words when I get the results!

I did have problems with BPP when I started in September as they sent me the wrong books and there was inadequate information on which Units to study, but this has now all been resolved.

Anyway, good luck with your decision.

    Hello,

I do the fast track with FTC and I fell more confident after the revision then after regular classes. It was not that hard to go through the course whilst working full time from Monday to Friday. If you are going to do the fast track ensure your school is not far from your home or work place.
I am sure you will enjoy studing either with FTC or BPP, to be honest I would choose the weekend studing insted of evening. After work it was quite difficult to focus on book-keeping stuff- but I survived with bannanas and RedBuls !!

    FTC - I would recommend!!!!

    All the best

I have been working in practise and attending BPP London for just under 2 years and WOULD NOT recommend them. The teaching quality is ok (although there are some shortfalls), but their admin has been atrocious. It took me 5 months to get one paper back due to their admin as it 'kept finding it's way to the bottom of the pile' and thanks to their admin, I have nearly completed intermediate, but have not yet technically finished foundation! To top it off, I contacted them recently and was told they are no longer doing NVQ AAT and recommended I take more exams to convert to the diploma! Not impressed. Funnily enough, my firm has booked me on an FTC course for Technician from next year lol.

Funny you should say this about the NVQ route, as this is where my problems started. They advised my to go the Diploma route, but when I checked with AAT, I was told I should go the NVQ route.

When I spoke to BPP about this, they told me that you can still follow the NVQ route, but as they are discontinuing the NVQ route within the next few years, they try to recommend the Diploma route.

I am intermediate, and I have been assured I can finish this qualification without changing to Diploma Pathway. Perhaps you should speak with them?

Ugh, I've just had enough of BPP to be honest with you. I'm currently revising for ECR from the course notes and the answers to some of the questions are incorrect. For me, it just sums up BPP.

    Sorry to rant.
