Are students awarded points for questions done correctly or is competency based on the number of questions correct throughout the paper and vice versa??

Re:Are points allocated to questions in the exams or..?
Unfortunately, the AAT don't give indication of how many marks are availible for each question, or how many marks are required to pass.
I have been given taking a driving test as an analogy: you can still pass your driving test if you make up to fifteen 'minor' errors, but will fail automatically if you make a 'serious' or 'dangerous' error.
As I understand it, the AAT will allow candidates to make many minor errors scattered through the paper- especially arithmetic, but will not allow what it sees as a critical error, or omitting a whole question.
I may be wrong, but this is how my class and I perceive the situation.0 -
