Sat PEV this morning. Journey that should have taken 1 hour, took over 2.
Arrived late.
Needed loo, chose only cubicle with no loo roll.
Arghh.

Re:PEV - driving towards disaster
Hey, come on now. None of know until we get the results.
While I was stuck in my traffic jam this morning, I couldn't help thinking that our fate was sealed when the questions were set.
If you believe in fate, think of all the situations that had to occur for us to make it to this day.
It all began when the examiner was born...

I tell you something, chatting to you lot on these forums has kept me sane these last few weeks, although my hubby will prob disagree with that fact, apparently last night, whilst asleep I sat up in bed, made him sit up too and listen to me rant about variances before I lay back down snoring again :oops:0 -
Re:PEV - driving towards disaster
Well, that did make me laugh!
I don't think I've been dreaming about variances, but I kept hearing them in my head (which actually was quite reassuring!)0 -
Re:PEV - driving towards disaster
Just wondering, do they let you sit exam if you arrive late?? cause it nearly happend to me this time, bus got stuck in trafic for 40 mins.0 -
Re:PEV - driving towards disaster
Some one came in to PLB about 20 mins late and that was fine for them. I guess it depends HOW late and whether it is likely to disrupt the others.0 -
Re:PEV - driving towards disaster
I think it also depends if anyone has popped to the loo.
I phoned to warn them I was late. Don't know if that made a difference.
Someone was outside waiting for the late arrivals.0 -
Re:PEV - driving towards disaster
When I arrived at Chelmsford College for ECR I was told that the location had been changed and was now on a different campus
After much panic I arrived just in time. There was someone arrived late and was not only allowed in, but had a time extension too. Only fair under the circumstances but there were also at least 3 empty desks with exam papers on which made me wonder if there were some people who couldn't find the second campus which was a couple of miles away.0 -
Re:PEV - driving towards disaster
Our college decided to hold this year's exams in one of its more, er, 'rural' campuses - ie in the middle of nowhere, well off the beaten track. It's quieter and easier to park they say. Which, to be fair, it was, if you could find the place.
It's a good job I took a trip down there yesterday and did all my getting lost then and not this morning. I got to see parts of Cornwall I'd never seen before and drive down some well dodgy country lanes. It's when I got to the ones with grass growing in the middle that I really started to worry
