PEV Exam - what a muck up!

Oh My God, I did the PEV exam today and what a mess I made.

The first section I did well and it went swimmingly, but the second section was a different matter.

I just got lost, I do not feel that we did enough on any of this and will be rather annoyed if I don't pass, the bit that annoys me the most is that we spent most of our lessons doing the variances and very little time on the other stuff. I thought that I had prepared enough but I don't feel very good now.

If I pass then it will be a miracle.

What does everyone else think?

    You are not alone, I'm not too confidence with my answer in variances, i was to come back and recalculate it but ran out of time. But I do managed to calculate net profit. Lets be honest who was expecting lifecycle costing.

    Me too only miracle will push me through.

    Lets hope for the best :roll:

    I know I really wasn't expecting anything about that, if I remember correctly that is something I did in Intermediate not something I have touched upon at all in Technician. I remember it being a passing discussion the class had one lesson but barely long enough to make anything of it.

    I blagged the whole second section, I think the only thing that will enable me to pass is my commnunications in my memo's I did spend alot of time on that becuase I know for PTC there is extra marks you can get for good communication and I didn'd know whether that was the same for PEV.

    Anyway, let's just hope.

    The variances I found ok but the index I was totally confused. The second section was ok until I got to the 2.2 then all went out my head and Yes Lifecycle threw me completely.

    I tried to go back and do the indexing but by then it was not only too late my brain was a complete mess :oops: .

    Suppose I shall be here next year :cry:

    Lots of people I have been talking too share the same opinion, so much so that maybe the AAT examining board should look at the bigger picture and grade us compared to one and other.

    Yeah I guess that some people might have done excellently but I guess those people will be doing this day in day out just doing the exams to get the paper at the end of it.

    PTC, PAPER was ok. after doing the first two papers I was'nt sure what next to expect in PTC. :lol:

    Yeah I did that today too. I found it ok but sometimes that's not a good thing... once again I just desperately hope that I have done enough to pass.

    Either way there is absolutely nothing I can do about it now, other that wait until the results come out then retake if necessary.
