No. Unfortunately not.
This differs every exam depending on results of students and students feedback on the exam. Its very odd that you dont even know what you need to pass.
The board decides I think in January but dont quote me on that one

It won't be set until they start marking them, and get a feel for how hard or how easy the students found it.0 -

it seems insane, so if the majority found it difficult then you dont need as many right answers?
how is this fair on previous exam students? i thought the question format was about the same as june 2006 and dec 2005 on section 1. section 2 is always a grey area and matter of opinion in places so can understand that.
I wonder what percentage of students failed on previous exams?0 -

This is on the questionaire section for the exam on AAT main website.
This online survey will allow us to to collect your views on the recent exams and quantify them. The results will be considered by the Exam Review Panels before final competency levels are agreed. All responses to the survey are anonymous.
I dont understand how they decide what the competency level is? Its odd, I think they have to decide whether this exam was considered a lot easier or harder than past papers and set the level accordingly.

I agree - but I think they look at the individual questions. If they are deemed to be harder, then things will alter. I can't imagine they would move far, maybe a mark or two.
I know this is how exams such as GCSEs and A Levels are done, so I assume it is the same for AAT etc. I doubt AAT type exams would alter in difficulty as much as a GCSE English one might.0
