Hmmmm.... dunno... anyways I'll type it a bit on here what I did is took the 60000 you could produce each period took off the 3% fauly production to give you 58200, therefore in period 1 with 50000 unit sold closing stock could be 8200 maximum, therefore in period 2 with 54000 units sold and 8200 opening stock closing stock could be maximum of 12400 and so on. Hope this is right............ ?????????

Kay..... i seem to recall those numbers your talking about and def took the same approach... fingers crossed it's along the right lines!!

This is what i did - i just adjusted closing stock, and kept sales the same, and the total produced as 60,000, so 58200 good production?!

    Re:PCR todays exam

IÒ€ℒve heard in the past the AAT has taken a question out of the Exam because of Γ’β‚¬ΛœsomethingÒ€ℒ, I donÒ€ℒt why!!

But I was just wondering do you think they might take Task 1.2 out if everyone has different answers, or if the majority has the same wrong answer?

    Re:PCR todays exam

sorry, different people like different questions and I liked this one!!! It wouldn't be fair to take out 1.2 when loads of people didn't like the memo in 2.2 either!!
I don't mean to be horrible!!!!
Where did you take the exam mad dog?

    Re:PCR todays exam

makem 86, I posted it earlier on this forum, I took the 60000 you could produce for each month took off the 3% you know was faulty to give 1800 to give 58200 you could produce fault free every period then worked this round the sales output ir for period one with 50000 sales and no opening stock closing stock could be 8200, for period 2 sales 54000 opening stock 8200 therefore closing stock can be 12400 etc etc.

    Re:PCR todays exam

seems like a lot of people did that. I think it must be right, we can't all have incorporated what it meant wrong. Have you filled out the questionnaire they have put on here.

    Re:PCR todays exam

I have i said the paper was overall quite fair, apart from the language used on task 1.2 which i thought should have been a lot clearer, basically said i wasn't happy with task 1.2

    Re:PCR todays exam

I am slightly worried as in 1.2 I did this differently to what everyone else seems to have done.

    In part 1.1, I got a materials usage of 140208, 113196, 118856 and 124800

Then in part two it says a max of 120,000, aiming to reduce closing stocks whilst meeting sales demand.
I can see that in period 1 and 4, we were using too much and that in periods 2 and 3 we had surplus. Everyone seems to have said that we can produce 60,000 units in each period, but surely in period 2 and 3 we would still produce the same as before? Why would would we want to increase production (and hence use more materials than before) as this would increase our closing stock if sales were to remain the same?

    Can anyone shed some light...Sandy??
