Can anyone advise me how to start 'working from home'? I am thinking starting book keeping service at home but don't know what is the best way to start my own business.
I've got full membership but no idea about payroll.

    sage make an excellent wages package you can buy off the shelf but you need to buy an update each year.if not try going on a course.

    The IR do free workshops for 'beginners' which might be a good idea, they also do them for all aspects of payroll - year-end, CIS etc.

    They would give you the basics.

    Thank you Helen and fellowes for your advise. I will contact IR first, it seems easy. Then I may moving on to sage system.
