A little ditty for Credit Controllers everywhere

Thought this was quite amusing, sent by one of our creditors:-
A Poem for Christmas
The festive cheer is building up,
Goodwill in every soul,
But no-one ever spares a thought,
For us in Credit Control.
While everyone is happy,
Getting ready for their bash,
We're too busy writing,
Asking for your cash.
We're not as hard as we make out,
We're quite a gentle breed,
But as its Xmas 2006,
We're in even greater need.
We're sure that you won't let us down,
Please heed this special call,
And send your payment to us post haste,
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL.

Re:A little ditty for Credit Controllers everywhere
Great poem, but I'm afraid I won't be sparing any thoughts for Credit Controllers - especially the scary ones

As I do all the accounts work in our office and have to wear both hats I am never scary !!
Well not when collecting cash anyway (my teenage children will tell you when that is!).
I've also heard and probably used every excuse in the book to avoid payment, especially as the last firm I worked with had a serious cash flow problem. When I first started there I remember telling the external accountant that I really hated lying to people about why we weren't paying. A few weeks later I was giving a credit controller a right story - cheque written, but couldn't be signed as the boss was out of the country (he was upstairs) - and turned round to find the same accountant creased up with laughter.
Just one of the many things I had to learn whilst working for that firm. Boy was it stressful - not the greatest of ways to loose a stone in weight.
Thank goodness I was offered a job elsewhere and made my escape!

I chase debts and I'm very scary!
I also get chased, but run fast!

Re:A little ditty for Credit Controllers everywhere
In my experience good credit controllers are always scary, and those who wear both hats are difficult becasue they always know when I'm telling lies.
I do always pay the scary ones first because I'm a coward.
I wonder why the scary credit controllers are always women........

Scary? Moi?
Hell hath no fury like an unpaid credit controller.
