Dedicated to the nice ladies of credit control:

Words by KevinB
Based on an original idea by Jan.

The aged creditors are building up
Paying them all is my goal
Because soon there will be phone calls
From the ladies of Credit Control

While everyone is happy
Drinking Budweiser and Becks
We’ll be busy printing remittances
And asking directors to sign the cheques

I’m worried how I’ll pay them all
Some of them are scary
We’ll have to sell the Christmas tree
And even the bloody fairy

We’ll try not to let you down
When we receive your call
Please don’t put us on credit stop
It’s Christmas after all........

Merry Christmas to Credit Controllers everywhere :D:D:D

Very good. You don't think you're getting a little obsessed with them, do you?

Helen, I have nightmares about scary credit controllers all the time - even when I'm not asleep.

I panic every time the phone rings just in case it's someone wanting money!!

Do I detect a cash flow problem?

It does have the hint of a cash flow issue.

I like your poem. Very sweet. If I were in Credit control I'd let you off the hook. But I don't so I can't help you. Sorry!

    Re:a poem from purcahse ledger

I do a lot of purchase ledger myself, and constantly tell credit controllers 'don't worry, we'll pay you next week': usually meaning it, frequently actually doing it. In the spirit of the times, I have written a sonnet:

Why do you call with more demands to pay?
You are most persistant, this I do congratulate
Where others would be struck with dismay
You hound me constantly for being late

Perhaps you feel I am being unfair
In not supplying funds more quickly
It is not that I do not care
Or that my bank account is sickly

I will ensure that you are fully paid
As I admit that it is fair and just
So be patient; though it is delayed
You'll have the money soon, I trust

Rather than spinning you another sorry tale
I'll simply say "the cheque is in the mail"
