Members in Practice license

Hi

Hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Has anyone else received their Practice license for next year yet?

My license is due to expire on the 31st December and I haven't heard anything from the AAT since completing my renewal forms. I have emailed the AAT but they never seem to respond to my emails, so I thought I'd see whether it was just me or whether they haven't sent any licenses out yet.

    Hello

I received a letter back from the AAT to confirm that my licence has been approved (it's dated 4 Dec), but it says that the certificate will only be sent in January as it's being re-designed.

I only had to complete a 'light application' though, it may be taking them longer to process the full applications.

    Hi Jodie

I haven't received the letter, but it could be like you say as mine is a full application. With a bit of luck they'll be late taking the Membership subscription as well because none of my clients seem to be paying at the moment!!

I filled in a full MIP application early in October and had to email/telephone Julie Emerton several times to get the license through in late November and then they backdated the start date so it runs beginning Nov to 31 Aug 07 for the first year! Presumably to enable them to tie in the full member subscription and MIP subscription at the beginning of September????? And I believe there is a new design version of the license due out later. It was a real chase.

I haven't got my new licence through yet either - does that mean that I cannot work until I do :lol:

I've received a reply to my email to the AAT this morning, they say they will be in contact within a couple of weeks.

Not sure how we stand with working, but they've taken my money so I guess that means I can say I'm licensed until I hear differently!!

Actually I'm beginning to wonder what we get for the extra money. One person I studied the AAT with has also set up Self Employed and is advertising herself as AAT Qualified. She assures me she has contacted the AAT and they told her she doesn't need a licence.
