Unit 10 Project - help with ideas!!!

Hello,

I have been given all the handouts to start the unit 10 project but I am still stuck on ideas. I was wondering if anyone could let me know what they done their project on?
I deal with the accounts payable side in my job, so any suggestions on that area would be great!!

Also, how easy did you find it to locate weaknesses and threats etc or is it best to make some of those up?

    If you look at the process of ordering to payment are there any flaws - is it easy to order something or pass an item for payment. Are there any areas in the process that are open to fraud or could be more efficient? The idea that you put on paper will not necessarily to be put in place, but should be feasible and possible,

    Any help is much appreciated. I'm sure once I get stuck into the project it will be ok, it's just the getting started!!

    It is quite daunting, but as you say once you get started it is difficult to stop writing, but make sure that you cross reference all the criteria.

    Have you thought about introducing a purchase order system if you haven't already got one in place, I am doing that for my project and it seems that I have got too much to write about on that topic rather than not enough!!!

    Hi Emma,

    I don't really get to see the purchase order side. Where I work there are 2 people who work in purchasing who deal with it all. There are 3 people in accounts, a credit controller, finance manager and me who does accounts payable.
    This is my first job in a proper accounts office. It might be easier if I had another system to compare it to.
    I don't want to pick something to small & simple & make hard to find things to write about but then I don't want to make it too difficult by picking something big to change!
    Got to speak to my manager next week to finish my project plan, hope I get some more ideas then.

    I hope the Technician stage is going well for you :D
