PEV & PCR (sallib)
This is my first time on the forum and have never left comments before. After reading a lot of the comments left about the two exams and the venues where the exam are sat, I felt I had to add my comments to everyone else's.
Our college cut the techinican level by two weeks at the beginning of September, housed us in a room that could only be described as a broom cupboard for 22 pupils. The venue for the exam was the student canteen with students and staff walking in because they cant read notices that state an exam is being sat, the refrideration system of the vending machines kept switching on and off adding to the noise of the students.
To cap it all I felt that I had not been taught the subject thoroughly enough to understand the subjects I was learning and therefore felt less than confident when sitting the exams.
I was really surprised that a professional organisation such the AAT could let exam papers with mistakes and assumptions actually be sat by students, did nobody proof read the exam beforehand!!!!
I had no idea what lifecycle costing was before the exams and certainly do not know any more now. The FTC book has a paragraph of about 4 lines, that's informative.
This is a great way for getting the stress off my chest. I'm sorry to have gone on about it all. And if you're still reading this thank you for sticking with it. The exams were b******s in my opinion and I no doubt will be one of the students re-sitting in June 07. Good luck to everyone who took the exam.

Re:PEV & PCR exams
I am in that course and I agree fully, the exam conditions were poor and the class we have to sit in is terrible!0 -
Re:PEV & PCR exams
i totally agree with content of exams, it seesm right back from foundation our year always racks up a pace and the exams seem harder, my mates think i am moaning! Our room was huge, there was a music lesson going on above us with someone playing drums and singing!! i mean ................ hello!! the college had insulated the walls but not the floor !!! hahahaha and its a new build! Quality planning and design i say!
Its a shame no one hihg enough reads this forum site to get our opinions. We are banging our heads on a brick wall, tlets just hope we all struggled on the same thing so that the pass mark is reduced.
Good luck with results0
