I have almost finished these projects, but have been unable to find such things as Health and Safety documents for my computer screen etc.
Has anyone else done these projects?
Do I just take them into my college whenever I want?

If you Google 'Health & Safety' etc. there's loads on the internet. That's where my info came from.

but we have to sign that its our own work, so can you do that? :roll:0 -
Re:Projects (units 21 & 22)
You get the statutory information only from the sites.
They also have guidance on the use of things like monitors.
From this information you can write your project.
The Health & Safety Exec is the best place to look. Obviously you don't copy the text, just re-write it in your own style. The websites are for reference only. There's so much info that you couldn't copy it all - just extract the relevant parts.
Hope this helps!

With regards to using the information from the website, you're supposed to have appendices so you can reference the website in your appendices. Your own work can also mean reseach!

All I did was to print out the relevent publications from the HSE and include them in the appendix. Then just give a summary in the main part of the report.
I don't see any problem with cutting and pasting from websites as long as sources are properly referenced.

I did a risk assessment of my work place. Then evaluated my report using RIDDOR and COSHH references and used these as my appendices as well as the health and safety act.0 -

Re:Projects (units 21 & 22)
Can I ask a silly question please.
I take it it's ok just to type the answers for units 21 and 22 project questions on pc?
Does it no have to be handwritten?
Just I 'v never done work-based evidences before.
Thank you.0 -

Information for the relevant act regarding computer equipment and work stations can be found at;
http://www.hse.gov.uk/lau/lacs/16-1.htm
I have a simple Excel based DSE self risk assessment for those who may still be interested in these regulations. If anyone would like a copy just PM me and I'll forward it on.
