Hi I am re-sitting my skills test for unit 6, I am doing technician now but did not get my skills test done last year.
I have changed teacher and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what I need to cover for the test please?

FIFO, LIFO & AVCO, and stock formulae, overtime premiums etc, allocation & apportionment, limiting factor analysis, report writing, payback period and discounted cashflow (npv, irr etc), all formulae for breakeven, pv ratio, required profit, margin of safety etc, process costing (writing up the accounts, accounting for scrap, normal and abnormal losses) etc.

Unit 6 Skills Test
Hi,
Could anyone let me know what the other method of absorption is apart from the step down method and could you enlighten me breifly on how they both work as I am revising for this unit to complete sometime in the next month. Took both intermediate exams last year in june and failed so really struggling at moment and reall do not want to fail again.

Re-Apportion of service centres must be re-apportioned to the production cost centres using
either the
Direct Method or the step down method
Direct Apportionment is used where service departments provide services to production departments only
Step down method is used where service departments provide services to production departments and to some other service departments
from there on I am not sure myself because I too need some plain english workings, any suggestions?0
