Just wondered what people thought of it, personally I prefer the old one, it looks more professional! - in my humble opinion of course!

Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
Hi
Yes I agree, I thought the colours clashed on the new Certificate!
But I suppose we don't like change and we'll get use to the new AAT style eventually!!!
Actually I've just had another look at the certificate and it doesnt even say what AAT stands for, so it's not even going to mean anything to most people!

I don't like the new one. I am not adverse to change, but this new certificate does not, in my opinion, look very professional!0 -
Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
Having finally got my own bookkeeping up to date, I've realised that the Members in Practice license is £100 extra this year and I can't see what we're getting for our money.

Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
I dont think its a matter of us getting something for our money, its more a case of saving money(from AAT's point of view!)0 -
Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
I dont particularly like it either - also sitting next to my full members certificate, it looks like two totally different organisations.
Just my tuppence worth

I guess I'm the only one that likes it then.
I think it does look professional, although the green writing is slightly sickly.
It no longer matches the members certificate, although it is in very similar colours to my ATT certificate so at least they match!

(Oh, and it does say what AAT stands for..)

Ok, I admit I didn't read all the detail before!! Everything stands out a lot clearer on the old style.
I was thinking more of the fact the logo said what AAT stood for before, along with the official stamp (which I don't know the proper name for!!) on the bottom left hand corner!!

Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
I like the new colours, but the fonts are too small. I'd prefer it if is was more obivous what the certificate was actually for. The largest font is reserved for the member name. I my opinion the rest of the text is too small to read comfortably if it is on display at arms length.

Is there a place where we can download the new logo from? To put on a letterhead I mean!0 -
Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
I think that you have to email the AAT and then they send it to you as various attachements - jif; jpeg etc - and then you have to get it approved.....

Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
I'm fairly sure I found the logo for download on the AAT web last week, but I've searched for it now and can't find it!0 -
Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
Just had another look to see if I could find where to download the logo and I've discovered it is possible to order a hardcopy of the Guidelines and Regulations for Members in Practice which was updated in November 2006.0 -

That is correct. I'm currently going through this process myself.
I haven't as yet received the new certificate... has everyone "just" had their's issued? I see they're quick enough to cash my cheque though!

I received mine last week - I applied late too! :shock:0 -
Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
sorry - this one is a mistake...0 -
Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
Having read through the replies and had another look at the certificate, i think - for me - the bit that I dont like is the "aat" as opposed to "AAT".
Capital letters seem more important!
Anyway, good to read through other opinions and I guess as Sue points out, we will get used to the change! (I still have the old fashioned picture of accountants with ink pens with a feather on top (quills!) in their hand, thats my problem!)

I knew I'd seen it somewhere!!! You need to log in to your Account, then you can download the logo's in TIF, GIF, BMP, JPG or EPS Formats from the website.0 -
Re:The "New style" Licence Certificate....!
Hello everyone
Just to confirm with regard to some of the threads coming up in this conversation:
If you are currently a member in practice with us, then when you log into your account through our website, you will have the options to download the logo in a variety of formats. This is generally easier, quicker, and gives you more choice than requesting it by email. If we were to send all the versions and formats to an email address, it would be a very large mail.
With regards to the Guidelines and Regulations for Members in Practice. These are being updated to reflect the changes in the scheme, but the updated guidelines have not yet been produced. For the moment you can download a quick list of the main changes in the scheme from the following link:
