Penalties for Late Filing of Company Accounts

A company has received a fine of £100 for not filing their accounts within the 10 month time limit which was the 31st July 2006. They still have not filed them - are they going to get more penalties? And no, I am not dealing with their affairs - yet!

    Assuming they're a private company..

    £250 after 3 months
    £500 after 6 months
    £1,000 after 12 months woohoo!!

    Never had a £1,000 penalty yet but there's always hope!!

    Thanks, I will pass that delightful information on to them. Maybe if they pay their last accountant, he will file the late accounts! Yes that is the only problem for not filing the accounts. In the long run it would have been cheaper to have paid the accountants and avoided the fines. :roll:
