Previous study as portfolio evidence

Hello

Not sure if there is a specific portfolio building forum somewhere to ask this, but I couldnt find one so as a newly registered NVQ intermediate student I bring my question here as a first port of call!

Looking through Unit 5, I see a lot of final accounts and reconcilliation work that I have covered in assigments in a Certificate in Accounting I took last year with Open University. Would such assignments be submitable as evidence?

Any thoughts gratefully received :)

Richard

Hi as far as im aware any evidence of previous work or work you are doing now all counts i would ask your tutor to find out for sure though but my tutor is always pushing us for extra evidence that we can put in our portfolio

All evidence you have is sumittable however if your FRA course is geared anything like mine was, you should have all the portfolio evidence you need by sitting the skills tests and answering a few written questions.

Thanks for both replying. I have a lot of evidence from assignments in non AAT study and previous jobs that I hope to use, so that is good news for me!

I am begining to wonder if gathering work based evidence is a waste of time, if the skills test will trump it anyway. I guess both would be overkill??
