Salary info ...??

Hi everyone, I am a junior accountant in south wales, and I am studying at AAT level.

I have recently sat my Level 2 exams in December, and awaiting my results tomorrow.

Im just wondering whether the salary should go up as I go onto the Level 3 at AAT.

Can anyone help?

    It depends entirely on the arrangement you have with your employer. Some people are on a pay structure that increases along with your qualifications and experience, whereas some are not.

    Including myself, there are 6 of us here studying the AAT, four technicians, one intermediate (me) and one technician. None of us get a pay rise if we pass a level of the course, but we do have something extra in our arsenal when it comes to pay review time.

    Okay thanks for the comment, I don't know whether my age would come into it or not as im 17, but thanks for the comment anyway!

    If you're employed as a 'trainee' or similar, then its likely that your salary might be linked to the AAT progression. There was a similar post about salaries not too long ago in this forum, so if you have a quick look through previous posts you should find it.

    "Salary expectation" i think it was called.
