Re:New York
Hi, been to New York twice now and stayed at the same hotel both times. Park Central Hotel on 7th Avenue 57th Street i think. It was walking distance to Times Square, Broadway, Empire State, Bus Terminal, Central Park, Grand Central Station and most importantly Carnegies Deli.We used subway to go further afield e.g. Ground Zero,Statue of Liberty,China Town and Little Italy. Good 3* Hotel, warm, clean and friendly. The retuaurant is a bit pricey but excellent food. I booked through Expedia flight and hotel together (Continental airlines go direct - no changes) For mid Jan it was £470 including airport taxes etc and hotel. It is more expensive later in the year.
Hope this helps

Re:New York
Hi I was in N.Y. for my dec06 Personal Tax Exam.
it was fantastic. Stayed at Radio City Aptments midtown Manhatten.(type in on google). 4 nights £500 on Delta Airlines. We did everything, skating in central park, Helecopter ride, broadway show (chicago, ground zero, central station, . Everything is so central and the Red Bus's are hop on hop off. As it wa xmas the lights were on. Only draw back is........... got to retake the missed tax exam this June.
Go for it!!!
