Just listening to Amnesiac, having only been listening to Radiohead for six months, I am finding their catalogue astounding. Anyone with me?

    I'm sort of ambivalent about Radiohead. Loved The Bends and OK Computer and I like the way they take risks with what they do. However, I've not really been too impressed with any album since OK Computer. Kid A wasn't as good as its influences, Amnesiac wasn't bad and the last one (can't even remeber what it was called) was a bit of a (ahem) let down.

    Still, mainstream rawk isn't really my thing anyway.

    I have a shuffle which I've only used on holiday and downloaded a lot of different stuff.

    I was on a cruise in the caribbean for Xmas and had Bing Crosby mixed in with Wham!

    Nah. I'm no spring chicken but I don't think I'm quite ready for Bing just yet.

    However, I do seem to find much of whats 'in' these days tedious in the extreme. Arctic Monkeys? Yawn yawn yawn.

    I used to be a huge Radiohead fan, but like CJC? I got bored after OL Computer. Amnesiac is OK, though. I love that they do their own thing and not just churn out more versions of the Bends and OK Computer, but I wish I liked their later stuff more.

    OK Computer was phenomenal. I can still remeber the effect it first had on me.

    I felt I should dig into this thread again, after downloading the new album last night. I must say it is quite a sublime listening experience.

    Has anyone heard the Alison Krauss / Robert Plant release? I think I like it. My son, the sixties throwback, is fixated on Jim Morrison and can't seem to move on. One day he will discover country, I keep playing my Hank Wangford records in the hope that he will have his epiphany........
