    I'm off to Travis with eldest daughter in Thetford Forest in June - only took 20 mins online to get tickets - take that as a result -

    God, I remember Travis at the turn of the millenium along with The Stereophonics and Supergrass. All groups that might have been huge but never were...

    Probably get gigs supporting Donny Osmond and David Cassidy now! LOL!

    I only know the popular Stereophonics songs and they are good for singing out load in the car - second only to Wheatus' teenage dirtbag :lol:

    A big disadvantage about itunes is that you only download what you want, and so don't know what you're missing!

    I listened to "Teenage Dirtbag" on the way to work this morning. What a classic and I couldn't believe it didn't win song of the year when it came out - losing to W*stlife of all people.

    See the gender gap isn't so great after all...

    Abba - one of the best groups ever. Great song structures, key changes and catchy melodies. Naff videos though.

    David Cassidy - he was underrated as a singer. Forget the Patridge Family stuff, "How Can I Be Sure" is a very good song.

    "The Last Kiss" back in '86 was good too. But then Alan Tarney is a great songwriter and producer. Cliff in the 80s had some great Tarney songs, "Some People" is the best-known. Leo Sayer had "Orchard Road" and even he had a hand in A-ha's sound.

    Gary Barlow is also a good songwriter.

    These may all be naff, but I don't care who records them, I like the song.
