Who would you prefer to work for ?

A large expanding company that would give you great career prospects or a small company that would still train you, salary isn't as high as a big company but career prospects are very limited?

Quick answers would be greatly appreciated ! :lol:

    Sounds like a straightforward answer to the way you've worded the question Rusk, however I prefer smaller companies where the personal touch is usually more evident. They present ideal training grounds for "novice" people like us and my current wages are about comparable if I was working elsewhere for a larger organisation anyway.

    I would be torn between them, although it's a smaller company, you will no doubt have more of an impact there than you would at the bigger company...
    Your salary might be bigger by a bit at the larger company but I find, from friends expeirence, working in a smaller business is more rewarding financially and mentally.

    I would probably edge towards the smaller company personally, purely because I would be thinking about number 1. You're still young, why not ply your trade in a smaller company, learn a vast amount and then branch out ina few years if you still want to leave :-)

    hmmm when I say small though I do mean small but my reasoning is, I've learnt heaps working for them and had my finger in a lot of pies so to speak. But I've got as far as I'm going to get here if you see what I mean and there's nothing in the future in my job role that is going to change. I can nearly do this job with my eyes shut... hence me considering moving onto something else .. which is actually a different thing altogether, starting kind of at the bottom but with room for improvement. Where I am there's literally no room.

    ARGH ! Why cant life/careers be simple ! :evil:
