Our company has taken over a company in Scotland.Up to year end they were resposible for their own payroll. From April we will take over their payroll.Am I right in saying that they have to have P45 from the old company and then use the codes when setting them up as new starters on our payroll subject to any changes there have been

    Thats what i did last year when i was in the same situation, but i didnt send the P45's to the drivers as that would have just complicated matters as they aren't too bright.

    Problem solved I have just bought sage payroll with 4 companies so now all the companies (there will be at least 2 more) can stay separate.
