Re:Introduce yourself thread?
Hi Helen,
All machine embroidery however I did start of the business several years ago doing hand smoked garments at home. Things grew and now I find myself with huge machines and doing orders from 1 offs to 5,000 pieces!

No, my machines are a 4 head 'Happy' and a 6 head and a 4 head 'Barudan'. They are commercial machines.
48 is good, I don't feel old, in fact I think somebody got my dob wrong 'cos I only feel about ooooh 30 :?: :? It's the height thing thats the problem some of my kids are over 6 feet tall and I am vertically challenged at 5'1"

Re:Introduce yourself thread?
My mother has three Janome machines. She makes bags and cards for craft shows. It's only a hobby and she'll never get back the investment on the machines, but it does keep her out of mischief.
She's had to learn how to download designs off the internet etc which is not bad for someone who has a daughter my age (and I'm the youngest)!

Hi, I'm Peter, known as Farmer giles from my sales days. A client christened me that because of my west country accent, I was brought up in Gloucester....but I'm actually Scottish and proud.
I'm 54, live in Rotherham and work in a practice doing accounts from prep to balance sheet and tax returns. I also do all the clients vat returns.I'm married(31 years this year) and have 3 wonderful children,29,21 and 17 plus a beautiful grand-daughter aged 14 months. I like reading, cooking, gardening and diy. I can bodge with the best. I like watching rugby, six nations and am waiting for the world cup later this year. and I love reading all these forums, you are all totally insane, a necessary requirement for accounts workers.
Currently studying technician(over 2 years) at Rotherham college of Arts & Technology(RCAT) Failed Dec exam, don't like writing memo's0 -

Re:Introduce yourself thread?
Hi everybody
Helen, I don't believe that. You can't be baggy with all that running. And from what is said about you,you are far from plain
Mandy, I went flying in a microlight a few weeks ago, courtesy of the AAT red letter day award from last year.
abfab flying, held together with string and chewing gum.

Re:Introduce yourself thread?
Helen,is that a picture of fantasy island then? (de plane de plane)
Mandy it was fantastic, like flying in a robin reliant with wings, we flew around Lincolnshire at about 50mph.
I won it from the AAT for answering an ethics questioniare last year

Re:Introduce yourself thread?
