Additional Technician Units

Hi
I am at the Technician stage of AAT, I have almost completed the required units. Does anybody know if I can do an extra unit, it's just that I am working in a job and I think that by doing an extra unit it would support my current role.
Can you do extra units even if you are AAT qualified?
Thanks
Rani

Re:Additional Technician Units
By extra units, I assume you mean doing more than two of:
Personal Tax
Business Tax
Audit
Cash Management and Credit Control
It's certainly possible. A couple of people from my class are sitting both tax papers in June but have already completed the audit unit. They've done this partly to get better exemptions from higher-level courses, and partly as an insurance policy: they only need to pass one of the two exams to pass the AAT as a whole.
It may be worth looking at, especially if you do some of the cash management/credit control or audit work in your normal job role. Both these units are portfolio/coursework/simulation based rather than exam based. If my job would have allowed me, I would have done one or both and still sat both tax exams.
I don't know about after you qualify, though.
Hope this helps.

Re:Additional Technician Units
Everyone in my class was offered the Cash Management unit for free, whether they had passed everything or not.0
