Re:Study Buddy
I agree with Helen. If they can't be bothered to check the spelling in the vacancy ads, maybe they are not checking out the vacancies properly0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Bit of cutting off your nose to spite your face?
I suppose the thing to remember is that they wouldn't be employing you.
But then if I received a flyer from them offering 'experienced staff' etc and there were errors in that, I wouldn't look any further.0 -

Re:Study Buddy
Sorry J, you have to be waxed by one of the other guys. Paul and Robert are your best bet for that!

My money's on Robert. I sense that's his area of expertise.

I dug around a little more, and found that these vacancies had come from a smaller local agency. On their website, the vacancies were spelled correctly, so it must be a sloppy data entry job at Reed's end! When we received a leaflet from one of the political parties earlier in the year, it was full of errors.
I have one with the both the name of the council ("Broxboune") and name of the party ("Conserviatve")wrong.
(Broxbourne has two rs in it)0 -
Re:Study Buddy
This is going to sound harsh, but here goes.
If I'm recruiting, I discard any letters that have errors. If the Dear Sir/Yours faithfully rule is ignored, they too are discarded.
I need people that can work 'on their own initiative', and having to correct basics like that is no good to me.

Re:Study Buddy
Hi All,
What can I say, I'm puffed out. All this running around the country with empty buckets that are still empty by the way has worn me out! These buddies are elusive you know. H, I think our "intelligence" has let us down, you can go next time - I'm knackered :roll:0 -
Re:Study Buddy
OK - I think the webcam idea will help.
Farmer G - please eat with your mouth closed!

Re:Study Buddy
We defo need to deploy the webcams. 10 second delays or not, we can catch them by surpise then. Oh and J, make sure yours is switched off when you get your c done. FG, most people go into hiding when I'm on the way, haven't worked that one out yet.... hummmmm!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
How scary would it be if we all had webcams?
The shock story would be that I'm not an...emu!
