Speak for yourself! I know quite a lot - in fact I could give lessons, if the price was right!

Oh, alright then. The kids these days THINK they know more about that sort of thing than we do

    Thats what I was thinking.
I may be one of the younger guys on here, but I believe that I'm pretty good at it.

Maybe, but a female friend of mine had a tunic type thing that I had a hand in and she was more than satisfied by my work.

If you had more than a hand in it, does that mean you were wearing it? secrets out now, cross dressing as well, eh?

I used to play crochet but those mallets can be a bit unwieldy, especially after a dram or two

I meant a hand in making it, as you well know *glower*

    No, I've never done crochet.

I'm giving tablet-weaving a try- it appeals to the logical side of my mind as well as the site that likes things in bright colours! It seems to be working, although it feels like I'm building a Rubik's cube sometimes.

Completely off track, but I just had to an 'adjustment' to "write-off" just over a thousand quid from our bank account due to an unknown error that I've spent hours trying to find in vain! Don't worry, you HMRC onlookers/vultures - it won't affect what I'm gonna pay you. Not by much anyway, I hope, LOL!

    Creative accounting come on down!

So what's the most anyone else has ever had to - ahem - 'lose' to get things back on track?

    Sorry - I don't write differences off.

They will always come back and bite you.

I know, but I can only spend so long on it for now. I know it's just a numerical error somewhere and that the physical money hasn't gone. I printed out the last months worth of bank data and statements, checked off all the receipts and payments, had a quick gander at previous months and still can't bloody find it. I'm wondering if someone has been on my system and undone something going back much further. I'm hoping (probably in vain) that maybe I'll come across it in the near future!

C'est la vie - they certainly didn't teach me that in the AAT.

    Re:Study Buddy

Don't think of it as failure, just a small lapse and only concentrate on (to pinch a phrase) "One day at a time". One lapse is not the end of the world, look at the positive side, you lasted so many days without one. If you don't berate yourself, then it will be easier, honestly.
Then when you do have a lapse, it will taste that horrible that you will put it out and think to yourself "why, its b****y horrible".
One other thing to take from this is to not put yourself in the same position as last night, thereby reducing the temptation to lapse.
