Re:Study Buddy
I wish. I'm sorting out my nominal journals for the new year.farmergiles wrote:Yep, we are. H is stuffing her gob with choccy cake and fantasizing over aero hulks and the rest of us are humming old tunes
I've just printed off the standard ones for each month.
Now I'm going to post everything for March, reconcile the balance sheet control accounts and then transfer those balances from the old system to the new one.
When I've done that, I'm going print off everything for the old year ready for the audit next week.
Then I'm going to do my next ISO audit.
I think by then I will deserve to eat a crumb or two of chocolate...?0 -

Actually, I've never been fat. I lose weight very easily and can happily munch on virtually anything I like!

Re:Study Buddy
Its getting through those times at the pub, or after a meal, there the hard fags to quit, the other ones are easy for me.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Those are the classic bad times.
Don't khow to suggest breaking it.
I used to manage through the day without a cigarette and I just smoked in the evenings.
Once I'd rationalised it - I just stopped.
Never relapsed - just put it in a box and moved on.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
After a meal, wash the dishes or go for a walk. Anything to keep you occupied. The urge for a fag only lasts a short while.
At the pub, no problem after 1 July but choose a no smoking pub for now
Not everyone is able to rationalize, Helen. I remember actually being in tears in the ofice whilst having a panic attack after I'd quit the fags. That was after 40 years of the weed. I've known other people just put the fag down and never bother or get upset again.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
No - I know that. But that was my experience.
That's how I deal with a lot of things.
It can be annoying...

Re:Study Buddy
Bit late into this conversation but..farmergiles wrote:B Sabbath, D Purple, Saxon,
... classic groups you mention FG, and I personally prefer hearing old Deep Purple to Led Zep anyday. Would much rather hear 'Space Truckin' or 'Speed King' over 'Stairway to Heaven' or 'Whole Lotta Love'. 'Deep Purple In Rock' and 'Machine Head' were as good albums as anything by Led Zep!
I saw Saxon twice in 1983 and 1984. They were awesome the first time but very weak the second.
Black Sabbath - easily the greatest heavy rock band ever, don't you agree Paul?! Maybe I should send FG the link to that Sodom video from YouTube I sent you?! In fact, I'm bloody going back there myself even though I'm still at work!

Re:Study Buddy
Definately, I think overall Led Zepellin probably the best rock band, however, I 'prefer' warning to anything by Led Zepellin. That is one of my all time favourite tracks. Saying that I think I would find it hard to name even my top 100 favourite all time tracks!!
Loving Slayer though Rob!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Well, on a lighter note, I've just had my final cup of coffee (for today).
Should be able to drag myself out for a run. But what I would really like to do is watch my two hour video of the Aero ad. It takes longer to watch, because I have it on s..l..o..w
