    Would rather go to the Download festival up at Donington Park; http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/lineup/

    Doubt I could 'mosh' anymore though - I went paintballing at the weekend and sort of a shock to find I'm not as fast as I once used to be when charging through the trees towards the flag! Got there, turned around and saw five or six guns pointing straight at me - ouch! :(

    My uncle was telling me about the mosh pit they had at a will young concert he once went to.

    Moshing to Will Young, eh?! Different I suppose...

    Best mosh pit I ever took part in was when Anthrax appeared on the bill at Donington in 1987, just when they were on the brink of becoming famous. Nearly a hundred thousand people and it seemed half of them were "moshing, thrashing and slamming" when the band started playing. Awesome memory!

    I sound like an old bloke telling war stories!

    No, you probably wouldn't be far wrong in that description Helen, though it's usually a kind of "friendly" fighting/violence.

    You can still get hurt and bloody but the injuries are impersonal rather than directly aimed against any one person in particular (unless of course you really wanted to and made it look almost 'accidental'!)
