Re:Study Buddy
Hi FG
J & Paul22 I'm up in your neck of the woods this weekend. Well, sort of, I'm in Newcastle in Staffordshire.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Tis only 3 hours drive away/.... I might see you out my office window  lol.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
:P well it's up north!
How was chester zoo?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
It was great - I think I loved it more than the babies did, My little 'un was laughing his little head off at the sea lions. my nephew didn't really know what was going on.
We left the house at about half nine-ish and got to the zoo at half ten, only took an hour to get from door to door.
The weather held up great for us, we got a few good pictures which i've put on the internet for a short period. I'm looking forward to going again next year.. not as much as looking forward to running the BUPA 10k again.
I won a raffle in the pub last night (yes, I was out drinking again) and I won a tenner and was entered into the Higher and Lower (bruce forsyth) and I won ΓΒ£70 prize money, a couple of others won ΓΒ£20 and ΓΒ£30 and pocketed it... I got a small clap from the remaining punters when I put my winnings back into the pot for Willow Wood Hospice.
That's 3 charities I've helped in one week... Chester Zoo, New Childrens' Hospital and Willow Wood... I'm a right regular Bob Geldoff aren't I?...
My favourite animal that I saw which gave me goose bumps was when I was face to face with the Tiger - although it looked like he had just been hit with 4 tranquilizers, I bet he could still have savaged me in one swoop.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Aww you sweetheart!
Last time I went to chester zoo my friend got attacked by a bat in the bat cave, I've never been since! I think I was about 9. Have you ever been to Knowsley safari park?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
So now you will know what to expect when you come face to face with H.
My kids always called the zebra "horsies with jammies on" when they went to Chester zoo. Only about an hour and a half away.

Knowsley, where the apes sit on your wing mirror and try to rip off your wiper blades or they go around the back and steal your number plate.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
That's the one!
We had a lion come and get on our car bonnet  we had to be rescued by a safari man0 -

Re:Study Buddy
Yes, I remember going to Knowsley. At the time though, we weren't what you would call "Well Off" so when you have monkeys and other animals bouncing on top of a Skoda - it's quite scary.... and I don't mean one of these Skodas which have now been taken over by another car manufacturer - I mean the original Skodas... only just better than a Lada Skodas! But yes, I rememebr going there. We didn't go into the Bat cave - Sarah got attacked by a bat when she was younger too so didn't want to take the babies through the cave.0 -
Re:Study Buddy

Re:Study Buddy
It's my cousins naming ceremony this weekend. She's 2 tomorrow, and I love her to bits! I'm gonna be a 'supporting parent'.
I've been getting broody since I was like 12. I love babies. I can't have any though
so I'm just gonna hope everyone around me keeps having babies so I can look after them :P 0 -

Re:Study Buddy
Ryan's walking! he turns the Sky Box off, turns the volume on the TV down, changes the channel on the TV using the button so the remote is useless, pulls the DVD's off the shelf, ejects the casette player, pushes the router off it's shelf, turns the PC on and off, slides CD's on the floor, throws CD Cases and DVDs over the floor and kicks things under the suite. Throws and spits his food out on the floor opens the washer, pulls out under the sink, throws hover parts here there and everywhere, leaves toys lying about, screams cos he's hungry then screams when you bring him food that's for babies, watches you whilst you eat, plays a CD, slams the door against the suite and more....... this was all in the space of 4 hours while sarah was working and I had him to myself... just makes me appreciate even more than I already do what the better half does for the family!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
