Moving Averages

Hey guys,

Could someone explain to me how to calculate the moving average over 3 years but with the 4 quarters having different figures. I was off sick when the covered it and I cannot find it in the textbook.

    Hi Jemima.

    You calculate the average for the first four quarters - this is your first average.

    For the next you calculate the average from qtr 2 in first year to qtr 1 in second year.

    And so on.
