Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
Noticed you'd amended your E-Bay advert but two can play that game!

Sneaky... the stakes are sure to get higher than this - are you still in?
I'm catching up by the way...0 -

Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
Please note that the only item still left on Ebay that is worth looking at is:

Join the hundreds that are turning this into a phenomenon! The Daily Mail have acknowledged there is something strange in Ebay land - don't miss being a part of it!
Why look at loo roll when there's something much more practical on offer?0 -

Not worried...
Why bother with an ordinary green paperclip when you probably already have hundreds and miss out on the golden chance of proudly displaying my bona fide one-of-a-kind-once-in-a-lifetime masterpiece in your own room - or toilet? Sure soon to become highly sought after...

Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
Sorry - but why would anyone want to look at a loo roll that has been kept, how can I put this...in a place not known for it's fresh fragance and ambience.
My paper clip, on the other hand, sits proudly on my desk. It's curvy, tactile and very, very reliable.
Not sure if you'd want to run your fingers over that loo roll!
Paperclips are the antiques of tomorrow, yesterday!0 -
Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
Okay let's look at it like this...
If I had a pile of paperclips on my desk and accidentally dropped your green one into said pile, how would I know which one would be yours?
Exactly!
Mine truly is one of a kind - an edgy and unique Bugatti contrasted against your cheap and cheerful Daewoo.
No comparison really...0 -
Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
My paperclip would be treasured and kept safe.
It's already attracing attention from some serious AAT guys - check out my questions!!!
Beat that!
Why do I feel so angry tonght.
OMG I'm losing the power to spel corectli...0 -

Can you make sure that if you're using and abusing me, you align the first line of the message with the top of the avatar?
If you look at my posts, you will note that I always press return first, before typing.
Just a little tip...0 -

Just for you... no - but can you please make sure I spell correctly from now on 'cos it's driving me mad?0 -

Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
Am I the only one totally confused?
I woke up this morning and felt like a new woman and all I saw in the mirror was...me!
And I see someone else had bid on that daft paperclip.

Not to mention this newly acquired handicap of you suddenly switching tenses in the middle of writing something.Baggybooks wrote:And I see someone else had bid on that daft paperclip
Hands off the clip Farmer G - it's mine...

Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
Now, now!
If I learnt anything from anger management classes it was that he who shouts the loudest might get heard - but not listened to.
The paperclip will go to the highest bidder.
What more can I say?

Okay it's yours... paying over a quid for one green paperclip - they must have seen you coming, mate...0 -

I hope the winner has a PayPal account - I'm not faffing around with cheques.

Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
I think everyone here has seen it now, besides the hit counter only counts us once and no more...
FarmerG is welcome to paying over a quid for the paperclip but how can you be sure he's legit since he has a zero rating? I won't accept a second offer either - I refuse to be second best to anyone!
I have more questions though and am still not worried - yet..!0 -
Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
Yes - true only one view counts (thanks though to Peugeot who didn't realise and spent an hour clicking on the paperclip!).
I suppose you could ask friends to look...0 -

As long as the money goes to charity, not bothered

Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
I didn't say anything about charity...0 -
Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
I see, charity begins at home?0 -
Re:Bizarre things on E-Bay... a new challenge!
Well, as I only started for a few pence, it never occurred to me that it would reach the giddy heights that it has!
