Re:Study Buddy

Re:Study Buddy
My mother just doesnt see eye to eye with anyone. I cant wait til im 18 so I can get away from her0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Haha, mothers ay!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
She isnt around already. And she isnt a friend. Although I do now have a 'polite and tolerable' fortnightly relationship, but not a mother to son relationship.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
I've tried to treat her like a friend and I've tried to treat her like a Mum but she just throws it back in my face! At the weekend I bought her some bath ballistics from Lush cos I know she likes them and I gave them to her and she didn't even say thank you! She didn't even acknowledge that I'd spoken to her.
We're not as bad as we were. We used to fight like cat and dog, now I try and stay out of her way. But she comes looking for trouble and starts arguments just so that she can argue with somebody. Last night all she did was scream at me cos I'd had a shower and one of my hairs had stuck to the wall so from about 7 until 10 she screamed at me and I just ignored her. And then at about 10.30 she made me get out of bed and tidy the mess that I'd apparantly made in my brothers room! I don't even go in my brothers room!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
OK he's deliberately not looking at me, I take it thats not a good sign?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Sounds like you've as much chance at pulling him as I have of winning the next London Marathon!
But who knows? Maybe if we both practice...?0 -

Either that man's got a very small head or that's one helluva leaf0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Speaking of a little head just reminded me of an old joke that would almost certainly get me banned if I told it here.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Chris - I don't know where you get them from, but I find that one hard to swallow.
OMG are we going round in a loop again?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Seems so0 -
Re:Study Buddy
What is the saying?
What comes around, goes around - or is it the other way?

Re:Study Buddy
Is this "here we go loop-de-loop, here we go loop-de-la"? or is it more like "Round, like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel"?
or could it be " here we go round the mulberry bush"?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
More of a "Whoops - I did it again..."

Re:Study Buddy
Just to raise the tone for once...
"What, if some day or night a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you: 'This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more; and there will be nothing new in it, but every pain and every joy and every thought and sigh and everything unutterably small or great in your live will have to return to you, all in the same succession and sequence--even this spider and this moonlight between the trees, and even this moment and I myself. The eternal hourglass of existence is turned upside down again and again, and you with it, speck of dust!' Would you not throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse the demon who spoke thus? Or have you once experienced a tremendous moment when you would have answered him: 'You are a god and never have I heard anything more divine.' If this thought gained possession of you, it would change, you as you are or perhaps crush you." (Nietzsche The Gay Science 341)0 -
Re:Study Buddy
