"What, if some day or night a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you: 'This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more; and there will be nothing new in it, but every pain and every joy and every thought and sigh and everything unutterably small or great in your live will have to return to you, all in the same succession and sequence--even this spider and this moonlight between the trees, and even this moment and I myself. The eternal hourglass of existence is turned upside down again and again, and you with it, speck of dust!' Would you not throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse the demon who spoke thus? Or have you once experienced a tremendous moment when you would have answered him: 'You are a god and never have I heard anything more divine.' If this thought gained possession of you, it would change, you as you are or perhaps crush you." (Nietzsche The Gay Science 341)
Wow! If I had to relive everything thus far, I would. Good or bad, it's what's made me what I am.
Gem - you're making an impression - this guy will be talking about you to his mates...then they will ask what you look like...then he will start thinking...!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Yeah, too bad he'll be saying to his mates - yeah she's a right tw*t, she fell on her as* right in front of me!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
All this negativity is over whelming Gem, men will pick up on that :? Laugh about it, we've all done it, stop looking for those invisible hurdles!!!!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
I'm trying to bump into him accidentaly on purpose so that we can have a chat but its not working :x i might invite him and some others out for a few drinks after work for my birthday next month and get him them :twisted:0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Every cloud has a silver lining. If he is talking about you, he's not talking about the others plus he might think it is a nice a**e.
Stop being so b****y negative!0 -

Re:Study Buddy

Re:Study BuddyRaeRae wrote:does anybody actually know what 'manly protection' is actually like? cos ive got no idea!

My take on "manly protection" is a man who can make you think he is your hero rather than an idiot. He is a man who will look after you no matter what is wrong with you and how awful you look/feel and above all, he is the person you look at and think, he's with me.......!
Sorry guys, missing my hubby

Obviously not found the right guy, yet. If you had, you wouldn't need to ask that question.
Manly protection... when the man gets rid of the spiders you hate, without killing them etc.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Gem - why not find out if he's single?
No point in pining over something which is unlikely.

Re:Study Buddy
I think I've just about got to grips with those bloody variances now too - the AAT support booklet is really good on this. Loads better than textbooks I have.X5wrangler wrote:I've finally go to grips with my variances and now I only have 999,000 things to do
Feeling like given a fair wind I might actually pass PEV0 -

Ooh. How do I ask him? Do I just try and blend it in with normal conversation?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Sometimes I think if it wasn't for spiders women would have no need of us at allfarmergiles wrote:Manly protection... when the man gets rid of the spiders you hate, without killing them etc.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Well done Chris, I find the support booklets very good admitedly. Unfortunately, my variances are in my everyday job :? Just as well I passed PEV really or I wouldn't have been able to go back to work :roll:0 -
Re:Study BuddyI think its when your bf breaks a guys jaw when he looks at you :P my ex has done that before

Re:Study Buddy
One of the drawbacks of not working in accounts is that I don't do much of this stuff as part of my work. The upside is that when I'm studying it feels like a break and not just more work0 -
