    There is one access road so I will be trying. The boss is actually in hospital with non stop nose bleeding, he's due an op on friday.

    Its said on the news that if the resevior bursts then in the way is a power station for Sheffield. No doubt Barnsley & Rotherham will be affected. Ironically I had a leaflet through from the council asking if we all had contingency plans in place in the event of flood or fire and if we need help making one to contact the council

    We've been really lucky where I am. Heavy rain, yes - but no flooding.

    I expected the Stour to be really high, but last night it was at its usual level.

    I think some of it is to do with drainage. The ground is still very hard from all the sun we have been getting and I'm not sure about you but when you drive around the roads here, all the drains are clogged up with leaves and debris, no-one seems to clear them nowadays. All the ditches are also overgrown so nothing flows anymore, could be a factor.

    Someone at work spent 12 months trying to get the drain outside their house cleared - it was full right up with leaves and rubbish.

    Eventually the council came round and covered it over with tarmac...

    Its all gone down in my town this morning, it was dreadful last night though! And most of the villages around us are closed off from the main roads and have had to be evacuated to stay in the leisure centres!

    What? Why couldnt I get flooded in? And theres a massive bloody lake near us!

    Had to run like 100m to catch the bus again this morning :evil: the bas**** wouldn't stop when like 6 of us held our arms out.
