    If Jens mate had just split up with someone and started pulling Jen out for a night out and then left her on her own I wouldnt be best pleased

    So again i would stick to what i said before

    Dont go out with her BUT tell her you will be there if she needs to talk

    Thats what Im saying, if its just the two of you yes I agree, but if there is a bigger group I dont see a problem. But again, I stress that Im talking from a male perspective.

    Exactly, your responsibility is to look after your own relationship / marriage first. And I dont think it comes down to 'needing extra' If a person is going to be unfaithful, then I think there is little you can do to change it.
