Re:Study Buddy
You can't measure your happiness based on other people and relationships. On their own, they won't make you happy - you have to find the happiness yourself.0 -

Re:Study Buddy
I think there are far too many people who get engaged within '5 minutes' and not wishing to sound like a know all cynic, you can usually edge your bets that they wont last.0 -

I agree - and there are also those that think the engagement is the final stage. It isn't - the relationship still needs to be worked at. You can't just have the engagement as the goal.0 -

You're right. I want to be going out with the guy for at least one year before he asks me. This is if I ever get one!0 -

Re:Study Buddy
One of the biggest relationship 'crimes' is those who have a child thinking it will help glue a disintegrating relationship together.
I think people shouldn't be allowed to get married within six months of first meeting and this is the notice period you must file in order to get wed.
Always struck me how 'Irish' it is that our laws allow you to get married to a virtual stranger almost immediately yet keep you tied to them for years if neither party is willing to accept separation.

Gem: Oh, that's OK then.
:?
Robert: Yep, marriage is too easy. Like credit.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Really Gem? Wow I am amazed when I look back to when we had been together a year, and how much we have learned about life, and our own relationship since then. And I know we will still be learning for many years. But a year is such a short time. I think you need to go through more situations than an average year provides, before you really know someone.0
