I wonder if the aat forum will ever again be a really helpful place again for students to gain quick information and also a place for students and members alike to socialise.

I am in no way saying that it is no longer helpful, but have noticed the amount of posts to general queries decrease significantly and the time taken to answer them increase.

I remember when it was bustling with students and the only time I have seen it like that in the last few months was results day.

    Every day is a good old day. It's ok at least you're being paid whilst you're off with a broken foot.

    I agree it's not quite the same anymore. Personally I think this is due to a couple of things: -

    There are so many different sections and it can be confusing for people to know which one to post too and they are time consuming to look through to post responses.

    Some users can be very 'critical' of responses and peoples attempts to help which does put you off.

    Generally though everyone is very helpful and its still reasurring to know people are 'out there'. I had just assumed it had gone a bit quiet because a lot of lucky people were on holiday!

    I think that there are more popular forums around for both student and member queries and this one might have been great, but like you say - if you need q quick answer, you might not get it here.

    Ive been on the accountacy students site and although it is 'more immediate', it just seems too busy.

    This one is more my pace.

    I've got one possible suggestion if this place seems quiet - I've been trying to register for a few weeks (on and off), and the registration hasn't worked :lol:

    As for forums, they get busy, then they get quiet in cycles. I admin one and mod on a couple of others - when I have the time 8)
