CASH MANAGEMENT DEVOLVED ASSESMENT

I need to do the cash manangement and credit control unit devolved assesent before i do my DFS resit in December (passed everything else this time so only one exam and this devolved left!!)
Does anyone know what this unit is like? I have had a look through the book and it seems ok, but jsut wanted feedback from people who had actually completed this unit! I get the impression its more explanation and writing than actual calculation... :?

    If I am right in remembering, there was alot of written work in this Simulation, although the subject itself was not too bad. Good Luck. :D

    I have to admit to quite the liking Cash Management and Credit Control module. I've said many times before that I think it's a much underestimated subject and unfortunately overshadowed by DFS and the two taxes. So many people use cashflow forecasts in their everyday lives but here is where you'll learn how to do it properly. The techniques learned will often prove invaluable, such as applying for a business loan for example.

    Same goes for the credit control procedures and the measures that can be taken to encourage bad debtors to cough up. Credit control is a very tough job to do properly but again, the training you'll get from here is well worth it.

    The simulation is a bitch though with so much written work and you really need to learn it all as anything can be in it. If this were a central exam instead of the mere simulation that it is, it would demand a great deal more respect than it currently (and unfairly) gets.

    I learnt this unit and sat in the exam in 3 weeks, i left college after December exams convinced i had failed when i realised i had passed i went back and was on major catch up i had missed 8 weeks did cash management, auditing and project plus PEV and resit PCR so i am sure you will find it really easy and it is an interesting one i really enjoyed it!?!?! more than i did PEV!!!!!

    For some strange reason I took unit 15 when I still a certificate student (foundation). There was tonnes of writing, but it was really easy as most of it was just common sence.

    Thanks for all your feedback! I have done credit control at my last and current job and am quite compentent in it and do enjoy it, i also do alot of bank reconciliations and daily cashflow so think i will be ok with this unit. Least i know what to expect now! Thankyou!!Fingers crossed then! ;-)
